Virtual Cooking Demo with Douceur de France
We're taking you inside the kitchen of famous Atlanta French bakery Douceur de France for a virtual cooking demo with French Chef Luc Beaudet to learn how to make French madeleines. This recipe is super easy, and a perfect activity for both adults and kids!

INGREDIENTS FOR 60 MADELEINES (batter keeps very well in the freezer)
8 eggs
400 grams (14oz or 1 3/4 cup) sugar
Zest of 3 lemons
85 grams (4 tbsp) honey
400 grams (14oz or 1 3/4 cup) flour
20 grams (4.5 tsp) baking powder
250 grams (9oz or 2 sticks) butter
130 grams (1/2 cup) milk
PLEASE NOTE:
- You will need a Madeleine pan for this recipe, to get that signature “shell” shape (can be found on Amazon, Bed Bath & Beyond, Williams-Sonoma or Sur La Table).
- Chef Beaudet recommends a resting period of 24 HOURS for the batter.
